You

As a travel intern, you must be ambitious with high interest in travel, and for the current generation, technology is a must, you should have auto knowledge with different tools, or softwares as basic requirements for this position, that will promise you a room to become the next travel specialist intern to the existing team of Safari Wallet. You will be primarily responsible for assisting clients with their travel needs, so this also makes you or must you be the people's person. You will be responsible for the full customer journey, from inquiry, to booking, and to the tour or experience itself ensuring the best service to the clients and our travel partners since Safari Wallet is not a tour company but a travel Fin-Tech Marketplace. The position is open for experienced Travel Specialists as well as junior candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Meeting with clients or through phone calls to determine travel needs, budget and preferences of clients.
  • Coordinating transportation, accommodation, insurance, tours and activities.
  • Advising clients on travel related topics like destinations, weather, activities, passports, visas, immunizations and assisting with trip planning.
  • Handling travel issues like complaints, cancellations, refunds
  • Building and maintaining relationships with travel/tour partners.
  • Working hand in hand with partners in providing good quality experiences for clients, creating detailed itineraries for each trip based on the clients’ interests and needs.
  • Booking transportation, accommodation, rental cars, conference rooms.
  • Updating/calling to confirm reservations and inform of any changes to their booking or itinerary.
  • Conducting research on destinations, accommodation and industry trends.
  • Attending travel seminars and conferences.
  • Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, transactions, phone calls and meetings.
  • Maintain records of clients and partners.
  • Contribute to agency efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed in order to keep up with the overall company direction.

  • A Bachelor degree holder in tourism, travel, hospitality, business or related field.
  • Experience working as a travel specialist, tour guide, customer service-oriented position, or any other related field.
